Setting up Account Recovery Settings for Gmail account

If you do not have recovery setup in Gmail, follow the instructions below.

Add or change a recovery phone number

1. Select the gear symbol at the the top right of your gmail window and select "see all settings".
   

2. Select Accounts and Imports.
   

3. Select Google Account Settings.
   

4. On the left navigation panel, click Personal info.
   

5. On the Contact info section, click Add a recovery phone to help keep your account secure.

6. From here, you can:

   • Add a recovery phone.

   • Change your recovery phone: Next to your number, select Edit .

   • Delete your recovery phone: Next to your number, select Delete .

7. Follow the steps on the screen.

Note: Deleting your recovery phone number doesn’t delete it from being used for other Google services. Go to your account to manage your phone numbers.
